Better Technology in School

I think that teaching with more technology would be pretty cool in some was. But usually I don't really use the computer stuff unless I really haev to. For example, School Fusion is a good way to remember homework and and assignments but not for pleasure. Utah I think is about the same with other states cosidering technology. Maybe New York would be a litte ahead becuase it's such a large city. Even if we used all this new technology, it would help, but in the future when we all go off and get a job or career, there is going to be alot more, and newer technology to learn about.

Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.

I had a really cool math teacher in sixth grade. She was so fun!! And i hate math. She made math fun for me and I enjoyed going to that class. It wasn't long after the school year began that they had to get a new teacher. This teacher wasn't as good as the other one because she was monotone and didn't really act like she wanted to be there. The cool teacher showed up and liked what she did and had fun with it. When she left i did dred going to that math class and didn't learn as much.

How important is honesty to you? Is it more important than kindness? Share a story of a time you or someone you know was not honest and it caused problems or was 'too honest' and it caused problems.

My mom always tells my brothers to come home from their friends house before it gets dark. One day my brother was out playing and before he left my mom told him when to come home. He promised he would be back on time. When it was dark outside he hadn't come home yet. He got in trouble for lying to my mom about being home on time.

The world is ending. There are natural disasters happening everywhere. You know that soon you will be stranded in your house with only the food left in your cupboards. You make a mad dash to the grocery store but everyone there is in such chaos that you know you'll only have time to grab one item before escaping with your life. What item of food do you grab? Describe what the food is, how long you'll wait to eat it, what it will feel like to know you're eating it for the last time. Will you share with your family? Will you hide it away until there's nothing else left? Will you eat it a little at a time or gobble it all at once? Describe every aspect of enjoying this last savory morsel of food.

My last item of food would proably be those packets of mached potatos and gravy that you make. I have already thougt of how I would cook them if I had no electricity. I would build a fire and boil the water and thats pretty much all you need with lovely last dinner. I would be just as crazy if not more so i would probably grab more than one bag. I would share wit my family because I wouldn't want them to perish without me. I would probably not eat it all at once and try to save it.

Imagine that you have a superpower. The Power of Persuasion. You can convince anyone of anything. How would you use that power? What would you try to get, do, change? Would you use it for good? Or evil? Describe what the Power of Persuasion is.

I would most definately use it to prank people. Evil. I would convince Obama to resign. Good. I would probably use this to get things done. And to get what I wanted. But I would be able to controll myself because I would persuade myself not to go way overboard with my super powers.
Last but not least I would convince Abbi that she is a fool, and she could never be as cool as me. No matter what she tried, I would always be 6% cooler than her. But, then, in reality, we both know we are the coolest. Only when we put our persuasive powers together.

The last book I read was Catching Fire. I love this book! It is the second book in the trilogy of The Hunger Games. It is about a girl named Katniss and her new friend named Peeta. They won the last Hunger Games and have supposedly started and rebellion against the Capitol and they have to try to stop it or else their loved ones could be badly hurt, along with themselves.

I like this book because, every chapter is so suspensful and crazy. I like that there is kind of some love issues with the three main kids. It adds some more suspese because you don't know which one she is going to choose. The ending was a little bit too much of a surprise, like the author just got sick of writing it so she just ended it. (That's what my mom thinks anyway.) I might give this book like 4 out of 5 stars.

Quincy lives and works in Xenia, Ohio where she has found the most perfect job for herself. A Zoologist. She originally wanted to be a doctor but so many years of school at age 25 seemed too much for her too take. Plus the money was so much less money she couldn't resist when she found out about being a Zoologist, she couldn't have been happier. Quincy recently wants to become head supervisor of her little Zoology team.
